Dog safety one on one

they have been many times, that I seemed to think that I had thought of everything, to make sure that all the dogs are save and sound. So far I have been very fortunate. I am not talking about the occasional dog fight, bite or stepping on something sharp with there paws, no I am talking of things you really do not think about until someone tells you about it and that is how I learned to keep them save.
Few Years ago, a customer told me a story about there dogs and the power windows in a car. It makes life easier, you do not have to roll the window anymore. No, with the push off a button, it goes up and down.
It is great and so convenient, specially for the back seat windows. My customers phone rung and he pulled over, while on the phone, one of his dogs stepped on the window button and it rolled down. The dog jumped out of the car, without my customer noticing it. When he got home he realized, that one of his dogs was missing. He almost had a heart attack, but he realized what and where it had happened. He drove back to that spot and there was the missing dog, who had crossed the road safely, now crossing it again to get back to his owner.
From that time on I secured my windows, by pressing down the child proof lock.
The other good reason why to lock the windows is, that it goes up as well and can choke your dog, you may not realize it fast enough, panic and have an accident.

Leaving treats in your jacket and hanging it up, may not be good for your jacket. Some dogs are determent and will get to the jacket does not matter what. If you are lucky the jacket will be intact, if not it will have wholes and the dog might throw up. Leaving evidence behind.

Woof, woof
