No, I can not walk on water

This wonderful dog looks so much bigger in these two photos, but I guess when you have to, you rise to the occasion. Like I mentioned before, some dogs are more competitive then others and when challenged, some dogs do not take it well and start acting up. They may pick a fight with a competitor or some other dog, just to get the frustration out. The incident I am talking about, is a few years ago. I am still at aw about it. You know when experts say, when dogs fight do not interfere, let them sort things out themselves.
That is what happened that day. I saw it coming, one dog being mad, because he did not get the ball fast enough. So even this sweet dog had nothing to do with it, he was challenged by this other guy, more then once by the way. Who is also very athletic. They began their little dance and neither one was backing off. Those two dogs have had the occasional trial and this boy never stood up for himself. So it started, most of the times it looks worth then it actually is. Nevertheless I tried to get in between them, because I am responsible for each of them. For some reason I could not get in between them, grab a color or a tale. They were just to fast for me, going around and around. The other dogs, who a lot of times like to join in the group effort by barking "Bar fight", started to come forward and suddenly everything stopped and they just stood their and watched. So I turned around and their was that silence, nobody moved, it was so still for only a couple of seconds. It was almost eerie and this sweet dog was standing completely over the other dog. No growling, no showing teeth, no blood and it was all over. He was never challenged again.

Woof, woof

Sabine
